Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who can fly a ULM?

Anyone older than 16.

  • Where to start ?

The first step is obtaining your training license. You can find all  relevant information on our License page.

  • How long will it take before I can fly by myself ?

That’ll depend on your own aptitudes. It does usually take between 12 and 30 hours before you can fly solo.

  • What are the theoretical lessons for?

The theoretical classes last a total of 25 hours (once a week, from 19 till 21h30) during which you’ll be taught about flight regulation, weather conditions, flight techniques, navigation and map reading. Our specialized instructor will make sure you know all you need to know to easily pass the theoretical exam!

  • What’s going to happen during the training flights?

Before every training flight you’ll have a small briefing with your instructor, after which you’ll do a full visual inspection of your aircraft (which you have to do before any flight!). After going through the checklist you’ll take off and fly around the general area of the airfield. At the end of each flight you’ll have a debriefing with your instructor to evaluate your progress. The instructor will make sure you learn to fly safely and be able to go solo as quickly (and safely!) as possible.

  • Can I become a flight instructor?
